Beginners' Needle Felting Workshop
Day Workshop Saturday 6th February - 10.30am - 3.00pm
Available spots
Description
Spend the day learning the core techniques of needle felting while creating your own three-dimensional piece. Mary will show you how to shape wool, work in both 2D and 3D, build up individual elements and bring them together to form a finished character. You’ll learn how different needles and materials behave, how to create shape and structure, and how to refine and finish your work, with demonstrations and practical guidance throughout the day. The workshop is suitable for complete beginners and also works well as a refresher day for those who have tried needle felting before. All materials and equipment are provided, and your felting kit is yours to take home afterwards. Refreshments provided. Please bring a packed lunch. We kindly ask that nuts are not brought into the studio because one of our staff has a nut allergy. Thank you. Content of workshops may be subject to slight changes. Refunds only issued if your place can be filled. Parking Please note there is no parking directly at the venue. There is on-road parking in the road opposite or in The Avenue where there is a walk way to the studios. Coldharbour pay and display carpark is a short walk. Disabled Parking -We have 2 disabled parking bays for blue badge holders directly outside the door to the studios that may be reserved in advance. Please email admin@southwestartcourses.co.uk to book. About Mary Anderson:- Mary has been needle felting for over six years, having first discovered the craft while living in Australia. What began with a simple kit quickly became a real passion, and she has since spent many hours experimenting with different materials, needles and techniques. She now enjoys sharing what she has learned and helping others discover just how creative and enjoyable needle felting can be.
